Jennifer Mack-Watkins

Monday, October 12 | 5 - 6pm EST
Zoom webinar, free and open to the public. Register to receive link.
Over the coming months, MGC is hosting a series of seven online talks from the members of Black Women of Print. For our second talk, we will hear from Jennifer Mack-Watkins, a printmaker whose work explores the limitations that societal norms and biases enact on individuals. She works primarily in screenprinting and Mokuhanga. The artist will speak about her work, her experiences at MGC, and her travels in Japan and Hawaii to deepen her Mokuhanga practice. Mack-Watkins has exhibited widely and her work is included in public collections, including the Newark Public Library. In the spring of 2021, she will present her first solo museum exhibition at The Brattleboro Museum, Brattleboro, Vermont. Mack-Watkins earned her MFA from Pratt Institute and an MA in Art Education from Tufts University. She currently lives and works in New Jersey.
