The Photo Response Project 1000 words? A quick sketch? Or a photo in return? The Photo Response Project asks artists to perform a visual translation. Choose a photograph and share your response. We'll exhibit each photograph together with your artwork and explore the many directions that emerge from a single starting point. This project is free and open to everyone. The Self-Portrait Project Visitors to the Brooklyn Art Library often ask one deceptively simple question: Who is Art House? Besides Steven, Shane and the Brooklyn crew, there's no one answer — because Art House is all of you! Join the Self-Portrait Project, receive a blank canvas from us and then depict yourself any way you choose. We'll exhibit the results this summer to show off some of the faces that form the Art House community. Photo Response Inspiration At its most essential level, art is a response to life. Sometimes these responses are purposeful, while others seem to emerge through experience. In either case, the works produced through the act of responding can reveal ourselves to ourselves.
