1000 Suns Installation at LCB Depot, Leicester until 5th July
We’re thrilled to be showing 1000 Suns – an installation of 1000 printed suns displayed as bunting in the foyer and window at LCB Depot from Tuesday 25th June – Friday 5th July.
1000 Suns celebrates An Indian Summer - a festival that takes place in Leicester's cultural quarter every year.
The 1000 suns in the installation were produced at printmaking sessions held across the city of Leicester in the spring of 2013 involving local schools and community groups. For more information about our education and outreach programme, or to start your school or community group printmaking please get in touch.

Indian Ink: New Prints by Leicester Print Workshop artists Sat Kalsi & Kishaan Patel at The Print Room at LCB Depot until 30th September
To coincide with An Indian Summer, Indian Ink presents new work by two of our artists in The Print Room - our exhibition space at the LCB Depot in Leicester.  Artists Sat Kalsi and Kishaan Patel will be exhibiting new work created during the first half of 2013.  More information here.

Edited Highlights: A Summer Exhibition & Practical Dialogue Interim Show at Eleven Gallery, Hull
We're excited to be teaming up with Studio Eleven Gallery in Hull to present Edited Highlights from 29th June – 28th July.
Edited Highlights comprises two exhibitions: works in progress fromPractical Dialogue (a project led by LPW Artist in Residence Sue Baker Kenton) and a Summer Exhibition of LPW artist’s work selected by Eleven Gallery curators. More information here

Film&Print
Film & Print is a project, exhibition and screening of collaborative works by LPW artists and  filmmakers and photographers from Seven/Five Productions, based in Leicester.
Film & Print premiered at the Phoenix Cinema, Art, Cafe Bar on Wednesday 15 May 2013. The evening doubled up as a launch forour new logo.
Missed the premiere? We’re currently preparing to launch these films online through our vimeo channel, and we’re looking to organise more screenings in the future, so please keep checking for updates.

Leicester Print Workshop is looking for a Letterpress Apprentice

Letterpress Apprentice Wanted – Applications Now Open
As part of our focus onletterpress, Leicester Print Workshop is offering a post-graduate level Letterpress Apprenticeship.
The selected candidate will access high quality teaching and support from our expert typesetter and printmaker, Sat Kalsi and join our community of artists. Through regular attendance at our studio, the apprentice will have the opportunity to learn, practice, experiment and create to gain substantial knowledge and technical proficiency. This is a 12 month unpaid apprenticeship opportunity, to begin in January 2014. More information here

Becoming a Member of Leicester Print Workshop

Leicester Print Workshop is the centre for Fine Art Printmaking in the Midlands. Our fully equipped studio based in Highfields, Leicester, close to the City Centre and Leicester Rail Station welcomes beginners and experienced printmakers alike.
We have facilities at the studio for screenprinting, letterpress printing, stone lithography, etching and drypoint etching, linocut, woodcut, mezzotint, collagraph, monoprint and more.
We offer two types of Membership; Full Print Membership and Associate Membership
Full Print Members can use our studio during Open Access hours to print. Our Open Access hours are Tuesday 10am - 5pm, Wednesday 10am - 8pm and Thursday 10am - 5pm., plus the first weekend of every month, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm.
To become a Full Print Member, you must be fully competent in your chosen printmaking technique. Often a course is all you need to get started. View our course programme online here. Associate Membership is perfect for those who do not need to use the printmaking facilties of the Workshop but who would like to benefit from some of the perks of being a member of LPW - a monthly newsletter filled with printmaking news and opportunities, the chance to take part in our member exhibitions, access to our framing area, specialist materials at affordable prices and the opportunity to be featured free on the LPW website.
Associate Membership is £20 per year. Please get in touch for more information and join our printmaking community!

Visiting Leicester Print Workshop

We are currently open Tuesday 10am - 5pm, Wednesday 10am - 8pm and Thursday 10am - 5pm, plus the first full weekend of every month, Saturday & Sunday from 10am - 5pm.
We are next open for Open Access on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th July, followed by Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August.
We always welcome visitors to the studio. Please get in touch if you would like to visit the studio so we can make sure that a technician is available to show you around.
