4 With the membership form properly filled in, a “Curriculum Vitae” should accompany the works, including name, date and place of birth of the artist, as well as the corresponding fee.
If you are not a resident in Spain, the fee is 100 USD or 80 EUR.

5 A Jury will select the works to be exhibited. The names of the accepted artists will be published in our website www.miniprint.org in June.

6 The exhibition in Cadaqués will last around 90 days and will be open to the public daily from 18.00 to 21.30 h, from end of June to September 30th continuously.

7 Accepted works will also be exhibited in the Galerie L'Etangd'Art in Bages, France, and in other places still undetermined.

8 A Jury of professionals in the field of printmaking will select 6 winning prints, all of the same category, which will be reproduced in full color and life-size in the catalogue. The artists will send 5 copies of their awarded work to the Taller Galeria Fort and these prints will remain as property of ADOGI for cultural purposes only.

9 Each awarded artist will be invited to have a one-person show of his/her small format prints within the next Mini Print International in our gallery in Cadaqués, during the summer season.

10 Once the itinerant exhibitions are over, which takes about one year or so, a catalogue illustrating all the exhibited prints in full color and full information will be sent to each artist, together with the unsold works and a cheque for any work sold.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
DEADLINE: December 15, 2010

Splash 13: Alternative Approaches

North Light Books’ hardbound showcase of the best in contemporary watercolors

artwork eligibility

It is with creative versatility in mind that we call for watercolors with “alternative approaches.” This can mean anything from you, the artist, finding a personal alternative that is new to you—perhaps a way to solve a particular painting challenge—or it can be an approach that is quite innovative. “Approach” can refer to any part of the painting process from subject matter to composition, to technique or tools used. If selected, you will be asked to explain your alternative approach. We look for excellence in a variety of styles and subjects. The dominant medium must be transparent watercolor, though minor uses of other media are acceptable.

digital submissions
Digital images must be submitted online or on CD ROM or DVD (please label the disks with your name and address) and accompanied by a color printout. For judging purposes, these images must be high quality, in RGB color mode, TIFF or JPEG format, and 72dpi. All digital files must be smaller than 2MB. Digital files submitted by mail must be labeled with your last name, first name, the entry number (should correspond to the number on the entry form), with no punctuation marks until the file extension (example: Wolf Rachel 3.tiff).

slide specifications

Quality photography is important. When submitting on film, please submit only 35mm slides. Slides must be in protective plastic sleeves and labeled as described below.

labeling slides
All slides must be labeled with the following information (please do not use stickers or mailing labels.)

This information should be duplicated on your entry form. Slides and disks will not be returned. DO NOT send your only copy of a slide. Duplicates are acceptable for the judging process.

selection process
Rachel Wolf and the editorial staff of North Light Books will review all submissions. Art will be selected on the basis of general quality as well as suitability for this publication.

entry form
Enter online or use the downloadable entry form.  If entering offline, the form must be completed and submitted along with your artwork, postmarked by December 15, 2010. Keep a copy of the entry form for yourself—we may refer to it in future correspondence.

entry fee
The fee is $30.00 for the first digital submission or slide and $25.00 for each additional digital submission or slide. If you are paying by check or money order please make them payable in U.S. funds to F+W Media, Inc. Entry fees are non-refundable.

notification and requirements of winners
Winners will be notified on or before March 25, 2011. Winners will be asked to provide specific written information about their selected painting(s). This written information, in order to be accepted, will have to be provided on paper and electronically (i.e., via e-mail or on CD/DVD). Winners will be required to submit a 4" × 5" transparency or 9" × 12" TIFF file (RGB format, 300dpi) for the work(s) to be published. Transparencies and CD/DVDs will be held by the publisher until the date of publication; transparencies will be returned. For a list of winners, visit www.splashwatercolor.com after March 25, 2011.
