We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday November 26 and reopen on Monday December 1 at 6:00 pm. A winter storm may affect our open hours on the 26th, so please call the studio to check for any weather updates!

This show is open to all current members. The print must be hand-pulled, not previously exhibited at MGC, may be framed or unframed and no larger in any direction than 16" x 20". Unframed prints must have backing and 
plexi the same size as print. Label on back with artist name,
title, date, medium and price.

MGC thanks all our members, friends and guests for your generous participation in our PaperView 2014 benefit exhibition, silent auction, raffle and party at the Highline Loft Space. We raised a substantial amount of the funds we need to meet our operating costs and to continue offering workshop access and instruction to artists. The night was memorable for the quality and variety of the prints on view and for the great spirit of our supporters.

Matthias Kern
 is participating in JACO'S UNILATERALISM, a group show of seven artists at JACO ART New York, located at 98A Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay, New York. The show can be viewed by appointment from through December 23, 2014. Email: josephjohnartworld@gmail.com.

Franco Marinai will have his film Blue Pleasure - a 1981 16mm film on Times Square's seedy world of sexual desperation in the late seventies - screened in Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro (11/26/14-1/5/15). it is included in "Little Histories of the Avant-Garde: Downtown New York, a film series about the NO WAVE film scene in NYC from 1978 to 1984. The series is sponsored by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. For more info go to:

Larry Schulte
 is exhibiting a 30-year survey of NYC weavings of paper, photos, and paintings based on the Fibonacci Sequence. The survey, entitled Larry Schulte: Math + Weaving = Art, is on view at Guild Gallery II at the Hudson Guild Fulton Center, located at 119 9th Avenue (between 17th and 18th Street) in New York City. The exhibit will be on view from November 13 through January 24, 2015.  There will be a Meet the Artist Talk on Thursday January 8 from 1:00-2:00 pm. BBLA Gallery at Bohemian National Hall  
Works by MGC members are being shown in several of the current group exhibitions at the BBLA Gallery.
Celebrating Print 2014, presented by KADS NY, features fine art prints by artists of Czech and Slovak background, curated by MGC members Katerina Kyselica andEva Nikolova, will open on December 9th with a reception at 6:30pm and will continue to January 15, 2015. Anneli Arms' print Elephant Head is included in the show.A guided tour of the exhibition with Katerina Kyselica will be held on Monday, January 12th at 6:30pm.  
CPC 2014 Challenge: Homage to Jiri Kolar, is a presentation of objects by NY-based printmakers created to celebrate the work of Czech modernist artist and poet Jiri Kolar. MGC members exhibiting are Arnold Brooks, Vijay Kumar, Katerina Kyselica, Paula Praeger, Moses Ros-Suárez and Larry Schulte.

Ewa Budka 
who presented a visiting artist talk at MGC on her printmaking research in "mokulito', a technique using wood as a matrix for lithography and woodcut, is showing prints in a group show titled Residual Impression, curated by Osman Can Yerebakan, at the Abrazo Interno Gallery, located at The Clemente, Clemente Solo Velez, at 107 Suffolk Street, 2nd floor, in NYC. The show will have an opening reception on Friday, Dec.5 from 6-8pm and continue on view to January 3, 2015.

Kristin Casaletto
is exhibiting her hand-pulled prints and monumentally scaled works in a show entitledParable at the New York Public Library's Muhlenberg branch, 209 West 23rd Street in Chelsea, New York City. Featuring woodcuts and etchings that are part of her series Mississippi Voices, her artwork envisions themes of racism, resiliency and spirituality as they emerge from oral history interviews conducted in Mississippi. International Print Center New York
is celebrating the past two years of the IPCNY New Prints Program with an End of Year Holiday Sale - New Prints 2013/2014 Benefit Exhibition and Silent Auction. The auction will consist of 120 prints donated by artists and publishers whose work had been selected by IPCNY juries for New Print exhibitions in 2013 and 2014. Many of these artists are MGC members or have worked at MGC. All the prints included in New Prints 2013/14 will be sold to benefit IPCNY's exhibitions and programs. A Buy Now price is available for each print. The auction prints remain on view and the auction ends on December 13th at 6pm. Lower Manhattan Cultural Council 
Each year, LMCC welcomes between 25 and 30 individual artists or collaborative groups into their Workshop Studio Residency Program to work on their creative practices in LMCC's studios at 315 Hudson Street. The most recent cohort of artists has been announced for the Workspace 2104-2015 program, and the upcoming deadline for applications for 2015-2016 is January 29, 2015.
