Ouseburn Open Studios 2014 Sat 29 & Sun 30 November  10am-5pm Christmas comes to Northern Print next weekend and we hope that you'll join us for the launch our festivities with Ouseburn Open Studios. Take a glimpse at the working world ofover 200 artists and designer-makers. There'll be a treasure trove of gifts and handcrafted homeware on offer to tempt you so why not make it part of your Christmas preparations?  At Northern Print you'll find: * If all the world were paper... our latest exhibition featuring over 50 different prints produced by our own talented studio artists. * Carefully selected hand-printed gifts to boost your Christmas shopping. * Hot coffee and tasty nibbles to enjoy while you browse * A behind-the-scenes glimpse of printmakers at work. * Have-a-go printmaking activities such as printing your own gift tags and screenprinting a handkerchief designed by popular (if sometimes rather rude) cartoonists Modern Toss. Saturday 29 November Eunice Routledge will be demonstrating monoprint and embossing on the electric press. Chris Daunt will be giving us an insight into the intricate wood engraving process. Sunday 30 November Vanessa Mansfield will be giving a demonstration on the Albion press. Frances Anderson will be showing us how she creates her prints, beautiful lamps and miniature kites using solar plate etching. With a free hop-on-hop-off bus to all venues and a variety of venues offering food and drink from cake and nibbles to three-course meals, why not make a weekend of it and bring friends/family along? Wed 3, 10 & 17 Dec 6pm-8pm Late Night Delights We're extending the cheer this year with our late night opening hours so why not recharge your batteries and pop along after work to take advantage of our free parking and relaxed, soothing atmosphere. Sunday 14 December 12pm-3pm Sunday Shop-a-Frolic* Come along to this special shop-and-make event and create your own handprinted or embossed gift tags to adorn your presents whilst topping up on your Christmas shopping amid the piping hot coffee and stollen. Saturday 20 December 10am-4pm Late and Great Offers Make the most of our last day of opening before Christmas and catch some splendid last minute offers subject to availability.  Join us for free giftwrapping and festive fayre and we'll even keep the kids entertained!
