IBOAC - 1st International, Biannual Online Arts Competition

ENTRY GUIDELINES - 2011
Guidelines
The 1st International, Biannual Online Arts Competition (IBOAC) is pleased to invite all fine artists and digital artists to the 1st IBOAC online COMPETITION of Modern Art. The objective of the competition is to recognize excellence in the Fine and Digital Arts.

For this contest, Fine Art refers only to visual art forms such as acrylics, oils, and collage. Digital Art refers to the digital manipulation of photographs by graphic imaging software. For Digital Art, the extent of the manipulation should be prominent and noticeable in such a way that it is clearly distinguishable from unaltered photographs.

All genres are accepted. This competition however, is not geared toward pure photography, sculpture or crafts.
The IBOAC competition will take place twice a year, and offers no prizes other than the recognition of peers and enthusiasts. The whole competition will take place on Facebook. Winning entries will be highlighted on the IBOAC group wall. We hope this will help promote and provide exposure for your work.

Submission
Post submissions on the Facebook IBOAC group wall (https://www.facebook.com/groups/260712543959122/). The wall will not be available for posting until October 1st. All submissions should be in the form of Jpeg [.JPG] or .PNG digital photographs. Entries that violate the censure rules of Facebook will be instantly removed. We do not need to jeopardize the competition by violating our host's guidelines.

This is an open competition.  This means anyone can enter and there are no categories or distinctions in style or medium. Everyone will be judged equally. Many of our judges are fellow artists, so they will also be allowed to submit an entry. Judges however are not allowed to vote on their own work.

You are allowed to submit one (1) work of art in the form of a digital file. When posting to the IBOAC group wall on Facebook, please make sure the size of the photograph is no larger than 950 pixels in length or height.  The resolution must not be greater than 120 dpi. Artwork needs to be recent, and created within the last two years. When posting you must include your name, the title of the artwork, the year it was completed, the medium used, and the price of the work if it is for sale.
