The City of Denver Public Art Program is pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a public art project at the soon-to-be-renovated McNichols Civic Center Building located at 144 W. Colfax in Denver. The entry of the historic building will be re-designed in a way to create a new community gathering space and increase the visibility of the building. Construction is set to begin in August, 2015. The selection panel is interested in commissioning an artist or group of artists to collaborate with the design team to integrate artwork that can successfully connect the exterior/façade of the building with the interior activities, which include cultural and civic events, as well as private events. Artists are encouraged to view the PDF document “McNichols History and New Entry Plan” that provides a history of the building as well as the current design plan. The EAA Spring 2015 is a juried exhibition hosted by the Evergreen Artists Association. It is open to all artists residing in Colorado and will be hosted at Main Street Fine Art gallery in the heart of downtown Evergreen, Colorado. Awards Judge is Doug Dawson.



We are very pleased to announce Doug Dawson, Master Pastelist, PSA will be our Awards Judge for this show. Doug is a founding board member for the The Art Students League of Denver and teaches 8 to 10 workshops around the US each year. He has received numerous awards from a number of different art organizations such as The Pastel Society of America, American Watercolor Society, Knickerbocker Artists, The National Academy of Western Art, Southeastern Pastel Society, Pastel Society of West Coast, Audubon Artists, Kansas Pastel Society, Pastel Society of the Southwest and the International Association of Pastel Societies. To honor his achievements, he was given the title of Master Pastelist by the Pastel Society of America and elected to the Master's Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies. The Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts is dedicated to promoting the arts and supporting artists.  We are the largest juried fine art exhibition in Eastern Oregon, located in the beautiful town of Joseph, known for its many bronze foundries and main street art installations.  Art sales during the course of our festival are robust and the improvements to the look and feel of our show are paying off with increased sales of artists work.

The festival features contemporary art and traditional realism and reflects the beauty, culture, and traditions of the region through its arts and artists.  The mission of the festival organization is to showcase and market the accepted artists’ diverse and wide ranging talents.  Consistent with that intent any subject, style or medium within these categories will be considered by the jury: (sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media, glass, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, and collage).  Exhibition space is limited; jurors will select the best art appropriate for the venue and diverse audience.  The show will run from June 5, 6, 7, with an opening night reception on Friday June 5th from 7pm - 10pm.  The festival is open to all artists.  All work submitted must be for sale.  Each piece of art entered must be the same one accepted in the jury process.  Work must be original and must not have been displayed in a previous Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts show.

Cash awards and ribbons totaling approximately $4,000 will be given at the discretion of the judge.  Monetary awards will be given for “First, Second and Third Place”, “Best of Show”, “People’s Choice (entire show)”, and “Directors Choice”. See prospectus for details on special awards.

ENTRY DEADLINE:  April 4, 2015— late entries will NOT be accepted.

En la línea de apoyo a la creación artística que lleva a cabo la Diputación de A Coruña y, en concreto, al desarrollo del arte gráfico así como, en reconocimiento a la labor realizada por la Fundación “Centro Internacional de la Estampa Contemporánea” de Betanzos y a la amplia trayectoria del artista Jesús Núñez, su fundador, la Diputación de A Coruña convoca el X Premio internacional de arte gráfico Jesús Núñez, de acuerdo con las siguientes:

BASES 2015
Primera.- Podrán optar al premio todas las personas mayores de edad cualquiera que sea su nacionalidad, que no hayan obtenido el premio en las cinco ediciones anteriores, y que presenten obras que no hayan sido presentadas anteriormente a ningún otro concurso o certamen.
Segunda.- Se establecen los siguientes premios:
* Primer premio indivisible, dotado con 6.500 € y una exposición en la Fundación CIEC.
Esta cantidad está sujeta a las retenciones legales que le sean aplicables.
* Dos accesits consistentes cada uno de ellos en beca de matrícula de un módulo del Máster de Obra Gráfica impartido por la Fundación CIEC.
Los tres trabajos premiados quedarán en propiedad de la Diputación de A Coruña; asimismo, los autores de las tres obras entregarán otro ejemplar, igual al premiado, a la Fundación CIEC, con destino a los fondos de su colección.
La Diputación podrá publicar o exponer los tres trabajos premiados y, previo acuerdo con sus autores, podrá publicar o exponer aquellos trabajos que no hayan sido premiados y que el jurado considere de calidad.
Los autores de las obras incluidas en la exposición recibirán tres ejemplares del catálogo.
Tercera.- Cada artista podrá presentar un máximo de una obra, en cualquiera de las disciplinas de las técnicas gráficas: grabado calcográfico, litografía, serigrafía, xilografía y sus derivaciones.
Las obras se presentarán firmadas, sin enmarcar y al dorso deberá figurar el nombre y apellidos del autor, y el año de su realización.
Las medidas del papel no excederán de 76 x 112 cm y el tamaño de la mancha impresa será, como mínimo, de 28 x 28 cm. El grosor de las obras no podrá superar 1 cm
A la obra presentada se adjuntará la siguiente documentación:
* Datos del autor: nombre y apellidos, NIF (o documento que lo sustituya, para artistas extranjeros), lugar y fecha de nacimiento, teléfono, correo electrónico.
* Curriculo que no exceda de un tamaño DIN A4, por una cara.
* Ficha técnica: título, técnica, fecha, tipo de papel, medida del papel (altura x base), medida de la mancha (altura x base), número de matrices, número de tintas, tirada y taller de estampación.
Cuarta.- El plazo de presentación de obras comenzará el día 1 de junio de 2015 y finalizará el día 30 de junio de 2015.
Las obras se enviarán a la Fundación CIEC, rúa do Castro 2, 15300 Betanzos, A Coruña, España, indicando en el sobre: “X Premio internacional de arte grafico “Jesús Núñez”.
Quinta.- El jurado estará presidido por el presidente de la Diputación y formarán parte de el: don Jesús Núñez, la diputada presidenta de la Comisión de Cultura, Educación, Deporte y Juventud, y cuatro personas de reconocido prestigio en el ámbito del arte gráfico.
El jurado será nombrado por el presidente de la Diputación y actuará como secretario el de la corporación o el funcionario en el que éste delegue.
La composición del jurado se dará a conocer con anterioridad a su reunión en el tablón y en la página web de la Diputación, con el fin de que se puedan interponer los recursos legales pertinentes.
Sexta.- Los participantes tienen la obligación de comunicar a la Diputación la concesión de cualquier premio que obtenga la obra presentada, en el momento en que esta situación se produzca; esta circunstancia dará lugar a su exclusión de este concurso.
El jurado actuará en pleno, en sesión a ser posible única, siendo necesaria la asistencia de la mayoría simple de sus miembros. A los efectos de la validez de su constitución, será de aplicación lo dispuesto en el art. 26.1 de la Ley 30/1992 de régimen jurídico de las administraciones públicas y del procedimiento administrativo común.
Las deliberaciones serán secretas y de ellas se redactará el acta correspondiente.
El jurado no podrá declarar desierto el premio y presentará su propuesta al presidente de la Diputación, que es el órgano competente para concederlo.
El fallo del jurado tendrá lugar en el segundo semestre de 2015 y se dará a conocer en el tablón de anuncios y en la página web de la Diputación.
El jurado podrá realizar una selección (que será de 30 obras como máximo) entre las obras no premiadas, para su inclusión en una exposición, que será inaugurada en la Fundación CIEC y que, posteriormente, itinerará por municipios de la provincia.
Séptima.-  Las obras no seleccionadas, enviadas desde territorio nacional, se devolverán a sus autores, por mensajería a portes debidos; los envíos procedentes del extranjero deberán venir acompañados de “cupones respuesta internacional de correos”, que cubran la totalidad de los gastos de envío en su envoltorio original.
En caso de que alguna obra no se envíe acompañada de los cupones señalados en el párrafo anterior, se entenderá que su autor renuncia a su propiedad, debiendo adjuntar, en este caso, un escrito firmado por él, por medio del cual hará renuncia expresa a la propiedad de la obra y su cesión a la Diputación
Las obras que resulten seleccionadas para la exposición se devolverán a sus autores, en las condiciones establecidas en el párrafo anterior, al finalizar su itinerancia.
Octava.- La Diputación de A Coruña correrá con los gastos de los seguros de las obras durante el tiempo en el que permanezcan en su poder, y siempre que éste no supere los plazos señalados para su retirada.
La Diputación de A Coruña y la Fundación CIEC no se hacen responsables del deterioro, extravío, robo, etc. que puedan sufrir en el transporte las obras enviadas al Premio.
Novena.- La participación en esta convocatoria supone, tanto la total aceptación de estas bases como la autorización a la Diputación para la inclusión de las obras seleccionadas en el catálogo de la exposición.

O Arquivo Municipal de Sintra foi criado em 1939 pela Câmara Municipal de Sintra. Atualmente, divide-se em dois: 

1. o Arquivo Intermédio, onde estão os documentos antigos da Câmara Municipal de Sintra; 

2. o Arquivo Histórico que, pelo nome, percebes que contém fotografias, postais, cartazes e diversos documentos sobre o passado sintrense, guardando assim as memórias das nossas terras, de pessoas famosas que aqui viveram, de acontecimentos, de espetáculos e muitas outras informações úteis.

A principal missão do Arquivo Municipal de Sintra é, numa lógica de modernização e qualificação, prestar serviços de gestão integrada da informação através do estabelecimento de práticas consentâneas com o enquadramento legal e normativo em vigor. Num esforço de melhoria continua, desenvolve a sua actividade de acordo com critérios de eficácia e eficiência onde importa, sobretudo, satisfazer as necessidades e expectativas dos seus clientes, tanto externos como internos.
O sistema que está a dar suporte à gestão do arquivo é o software Archeevo da KEEP SOLUTIONS.
