O Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Mato Grosso do Sul (Marco) realiza entre 15 e 18/04/15 o Workshop de Colagem, com o artista carioca André de Miranda. As aulas ocorrem das 14h às 18h,e são voltadas para estudantes de arte, artistas professores e interessados em arte. André promove experiências na técnica da colagem e promove a reflexão, a discussão e a prática da enquanto linguagem artística contemporânea. Ao final será executada uma colagem coletiva, em grandes dimensões, com exposição e troca das obras executadas durante a oficina. Não é necessária experiência prévia. Livro Tenso faz parte das conversas no Ateliê 702. São reflexões em que a produção gráfica de artistas convidados dialoga com profissionais de diversas áreas.

As tensões do humano — este foi o tema escolhido e proposto para que 27 artistas gravadores resolvessem em duas folhas em livros de 59 x 73 cm presos e expostos
​ 

nas paredes, como “quadros paginados”. A exploração visual dessas tensões gerou as  54 gravuras presentes neste livro digital. Os cinco livros físicos serão doados para uma  biblioteca pública (ainda em pesquisa).

Foram cinco livros físicos (em papel) que exploraram as seguintes tensões: 
Amor-Ódio, Som- Silêncio, Luz-Escuridão, Presença-Ausência, Vida-Morte. 
Seis profissionais das áreas da História, Psicologia, Filosofia, Linguística, Psicanálise e Arte participaram de conversas sobre a questão das tensões do humano em suas áreas específicas, tendo a exposição para comentar e exemplificar. Com isso, a exposição promoveu uma discussão sobre o tema, sendo a técnica da gravura o suporte para as conversas durante o SP-Estampa, edição de 2014.

O Projeto Livro Tenso dá continuidade à associação “exposição — conversas do Ateliê 702”, que se iniciou no ano de 2013 durante a edição do SP-Estampa com o projeto Múltiplo Singular. Ao término desse primeiro projeto, surgiu a ideia de publicar a transcrição das conversas dos convidados junto com as imagens. Assim, com a colaboração de Flavio Bassani, que fotografou e editou digitalmente as imagens dos artistas participantes e textos dos colegas “conversadores”, fica aberto ao público o resultado do projeto Livro Tenso. A associação de artistas interessados em pensar a arte e pensadores interessados na arte do pensar fez acontecer este projeto.

The City of Denver Public Art Program is pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a public art project at the soon-to-be-renovated McNichols Civic Center Building located at 144 W. Colfax in Denver. The entry of the historic building will be re-designed in a way to create a new community gathering space and increase the visibility of the building. Construction is set to begin in August, 2015. The selection panel is interested in commissioning an artist or group of artists to collaborate with the design team to integrate artwork that can successfully connect the exterior/façade of the building with the interior activities, which include cultural and civic events, as well as private events. We are very pleased to announce Doug Dawson, Master Pastelist, PSA will be our Awards Judge for this show. Doug is a founding board member for the The Art Students League of Denver and teaches 8 to 10 workshops around the US each year. He has received numerous awards from a number of different art organizations such as The Pastel Society of America, American Watercolor Society, Knickerbocker Artists, The National Academy of Western Art, Southeastern Pastel Society, Pastel Society of West Coast, Audubon Artists, Kansas Pastel Society, Pastel Society of the Southwest and the International Association of Pastel Societies. To honor his achievements, he was given the title of Master Pastelist by the Pastel Society of America and elected to the Master's Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies. The Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts is dedicated to promoting the arts and supporting artists.  We are the largest juried fine art exhibition in Eastern Oregon, located in the beautiful town of Joseph, known for its many bronze foundries and main street art installations.  Art sales during the course of our festival are robust and the improvements to the look and feel of our show are paying off with increased sales of artists work.

The festival features contemporary art and traditional realism and reflects the beauty, culture, and traditions of the region through its arts and artists.  The mission of the festival organization is to showcase and market the accepted artists’ diverse and wide ranging talents.  Consistent with that intent any subject, style or medium within these categories will be considered by the jury: (sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media, glass, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, and collage).  Exhibition space is limited; jurors will select the best art appropriate for the venue and diverse audience.  The show will run from June 5, 6, 7, with an opening night reception on Friday June 5th from 7pm - 10pm.  The festival is open to all artists.  All work submitted must be for sale.  Each piece of art entered must be the same one accepted in the jury process.  Work must be original and must not have been displayed in a previous Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts show.

Cash awards and ribbons totaling approximately $4,000 will be given at the discretion of the judge.  Monetary awards will be given for “First, Second and Third Place”, “Best of Show”, “People’s Choice (entire show)”, and “Directors Choice”. See prospectus for details on special awards.
