Quaint Old Town Temecula is becoming a destination for art, music and fine dining. Coming in July, one downtown event will provide patrons with a little of all three. 'The Gods come to Temecula’ reception is scheduled for July 12 from 4-7 at Parea in Old Town, and will feature the works by award winning and internationally known artist, Richard Stergulz. These Greek god and goddess paintings are each 2 foot by 4 foot and command attention with their dramatic lighting and subtle background details. Richard Stergulz is one of the best figurative painters in Southern California. He attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and has successful illustration and fine art careers. Rich's paintings have won numerous awards from Best of Show to People's Choice. He recently was the featured artist at the Ballast Point Gallery in San Diego as well as being a judge for the San Diego County Fair Art Show.
