I am a Mumbai (Bombay) based Printmaker. Since completing my bachelor's and master's degrees from Sir J. J. School of Art, I have been working in my field of expertise for the last 13 years. It is becoming more and more difficult these days, for an artist to own the works of other artists. For a few years now, my artist friends and I, have been unofficially exchanging our works with each other. Which has become quite popular and has led to a platform where constructive criticism and sharing of knowledge appears to thrive. Some of us have also turned into serious art collectors in due course. I wish to take this very same idea to a larger scale and give it a global platform by International Print Exchange Programme (IPEP) I would like very much for you to be a part of this initiative.
First International Print Exchange Programme (IPEP) 2013 India had received enthusiastic participation from the printmakers spread around the world. The shows of the IPEP 2013 are ongoing events at the participating artists’ country beside the launch show, the IPEP which are still continuing in various countries.
I am planning our second initiative of the IPEP 2014 to involve more printmakers and thus more viewers.
