THE MASTERS - RELIEF PRINTS
The Masters is a series of annual exhibitions established by the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers focusing on a particular branch of printmaking. Selected works will be exhibited at Bankside Gallery, 48 Hopton Street, London SE1 9JH (next door to Tate Modern) from 3-15 November 2015. This year's exhibition will be curated by Angie Lewin RE and will be devoted to works that employ any relief printmaking techniques.
This includes: woodcuts / metalcuts / linocuts / wood engraving / relief etching / block press / an even potato prints. Any print that has a relief printmaking technique as a primary technique is eligible.
AWARDS
- Arts Club Charitable Trust Award - £1000 for an outstanding work selected by the trustees of the Arts Club Charitable Trust.
- Sanguine Studios Prize - Rob White of Sanguine Studios will select an artist to work with to create 2 new prints, which he will then publish.
- Art Angels Prize - £250 plus the possibility of the image being published on an Arts Angels greetings card.
- St Brides Foundation Purchase Prize - as chosen by the St Brides Foundation.
- Fenner Paper Prize - £250 worth of relief paper.
- Intaglio Printmakers Prize - £100 worth of materials.
- Great Art Prize - £150 worth of materials from Great Art.
- Red Hot Press Prize - free studio membership for 2016, plus invitations to take part of their exhibitions.
