The Manhattan Graphics Center (MGC) announces its 4th juried competition and exhibition devoted to miniature prints. The 4th New York International Miniature Print Exhibition (NYIMPE) will take place from November 1-November 30, 2019 with an opening reception on November 2, 2019.

JUROR
Sarah Kirk Hanley is an independent expert and critic in contemporary fine prints, multiples and artists’ books. She holds an MA in Museum Education from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, and a BFA in Printmaking and Fine Art from the University of Iowa, magna cum laude. Hanley also pursued minor postgraduate courses in hand papermaking and book arts at UArts and the University of Iowa Center for the Book, volunteering at its Oakdale papermaking facility. She has held positions at New York University, Christie’s, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Lower East Side Printshop.

ELIGIBILITY
All fine art printmaking mediums including relief, intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, monotype, and letterpress will be accepted. Prints must be hand-pulled (not printed on digital printers). Mixed media work is accepted as long as the dominant process is printmaking.
SIZE REQUIREMENTS
No larger than 9 square inches / 58 square centimeters
Example of acceptable size includes:
3 inches x 3 inches / 7.6 centimeters x 7.6 centimeters
