Pop-Up Classes: Monotype, Milk Carton Etching, or Stamping

Choose the date of your class! Choose your classmates! Choose your printmaking technique! Choose what time of day (each class will last for 21/2 hours) Our new pop-up classes allow you to design your own experience - you choose your classmates (up to 5 students per class), the printmaking method you want to learn about, and even the date and time of the class. Our hope is that this new flexibility will provide a safe environment for people to learn and experience new things, an opportunity that is ever harder to come by these days. We are scheduling classes Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and you can choose to have it in the morning, afternoon, or evening. The class price includes all inks, tools, and materials, and each student also gets one large sheet of paper, which can be divided into 4 or 8 smaller pieces.

Ron Pokrasso’s approach to monotype in combination with chine collé/collage and photopolymer platemaking will open your eyes and working process to a whole new range of possibilities. You will learn how to think in layers, where many options become available in one or more impressions. With so many surfaces, your options will become endless and the mixing and matching of imagery will have the potential to move you into exciting new directions.
