In this workshop participants explore the possibilities of photo litho! Using computer based positive films and hand-drawn images on mylar. Basic exposure and development of photo-litho plates and printing will be covered. This workshop includes registration, paper prep, and printing methods, as well as the many possibilities of mixing hand-drawn mylars with computer images, multi-plate printing, and mixed media.
Carolyn Muskat holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and is a Tamarind Master Printer. Her work has been in local and national exhibitions, including "Contained" at the Mills Gallery, "Printed by Master Printer" at CCP, "First International Printmaking Triennial of ULUS", Belgrade, Serbia, and "Seven for Science" at Smith College, MA. In 2010, Ms. Muskat was invited to teach at the Hanoi Fine Arts Workshop in Vietnam, where she worked with some of the top artists in the country. She has lectured and taught at many prestigious institutions including the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Massachusetts College of Art, the Hartford Art School, RISD, Boston University, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Museum of Printing in Andover, and the Brush Gallery in Lowell. Ms. Muskat is an active member of The Boston Printmakers.
