The First International Mokuhanga Conference 2011 was held in Kyoto and Awaji City in June of 2011 with the participation of 108 artists and educators from 22 countries. In response to the success of the first meeting, it was decided to hold an expanded Second International Mokuhanga Conference 2014 (IMC2014) in Tokyo, hosted at Tokyo University of the Arts.
