Photo-Encaustic Workshop

The process of adding melted beeswax and resin to photographs produces a rich alchemy of color and texture to create something new and often unexpected. Learn the basics of photo mounting on wood, wax application, pigments, collage, textures and more to three small panels per day. This course will cover studio basics, paper choices, encaustic pouring and painting, and other methods such as glazing, scraping, and photocopy transfer. Proper tools, studio methods and safety procedures will be discussed. All levels welcome.
Class dates: Saturday & Sunday, October 26 - 27, 2019
Class time: 10 AM - 5 PM, includes lunch break
Class fee: $ 240 + tax, all paper and materials will be supplied
