INTERNATIONAL EX LIBRIS COMPETITION “WINE AND GRAPES”

ASSOCIATION OF VOJVODINA

The Cultural Centre "Art Workshop Sremski Karlovci" and the Ex Libris Association of
Vojvodina announce the launch of the International Ex Libris Competition entitled "Wine
and Grapes"
Competition Rules:

Article 1
This competition is open, without restriction, to artists worldwide. No fee is required for
participation.
Article 2
Artists are invited to submit one or more Ex Libris on the theme "WINE AND GRAPES".

Article 3
All works submitted must be conceived as Ex Libris with the name of the book’s owner.
They must integrate the words EX LIBRIS or a similar inscription written in the language
of the participating country, as well as the NAME OF THE OWNER, who may be a natural
person or an institution.

Article 4
There are no limitations as to the number of Ex Libris which may be submitted. The
maximum size of the printed surface must not exceed 10 cm х 15 cm. All participants
must send FOUR prints of EACH submitted Ex Libris. The organizer reserves the right of
ownership and the right to reproduce all submitted materials.

Article 5
All submitted Ex Libris shall be original graphic works, printed using common graphic
techniques. Drawings, sketches or photocopies shall not be accepted. All graphic arts
techniques shall be treated equally, including computer graphic.

Article 6
The print of each submitted Ex Libris shall contain the artist’s name, address, birth year,
nationality, the technique used and the year of creation, written legibly, in pencil and
in block letters on the back of the print. Each print shall be signed by the artist in a way
graphic prints are usually signed. The artist shall enclose his/her short biography.

Article 7
The Jury shall be composed of five members, artists and experts, who are members of the
Ex Libris Association of Vojvodina.

Article 8
The Jury will select the three most successful works whose authors will receive in-kind
rewards. In addition, the Jury will award a number of honourable mentions. Unofficial
rewards may be given by other institutions and individuals.

Article 9
One print of each exhibited Ex Libris shall be donated to Matica Srpska.

Article 10
An illustrated catalogue of all works submitted for the competition will be printed by the
organizers, and sent free of charge to artists whose Ex Libris are illustrated therein.

Article 11
An exhibition of the selected works will be opened on 27 September 2013 in Cultural
Centre in Sremski Karlovci and afterwards in the Prometej Gallery in Novi Sad in
November.

Article 12
The works should be submitted no later than May 31, 2013 to the following address:
