THE CAMPAIGN FOR DRAWING
The Campaign for Drawing has one aim: to get everyone drawing! Why? Drawing helps us to think, invent and communicate – regardless of age and ability.
The Big Draw
Held throughout October, The Big Draw is the Campaign's flagship programme and aims to bring communities together in creative ways. It is the largest drawing festival in the world.More than 1000 venues take part annually, from national museums and heritage sites to rural nursery schools. They show how drawing can be used to connect visitors with their heritage, environment or each other. Schools often invite the wider community to share the pleasures of learning through drawing. Last year 22 countries joined the UK in organising events.

The Big Draw's Big Splash
Help Quentin Blake launch the 2011 festival with an amazing free programme celebrating illustration for children and adults at London's Kings Place on Sunday 25 September. The Campaign is a small arts education charity. It receives no public funds, relying on the generosity of trusts, corporate sponsors and individuals to continue its good work. All donations, however small, make a big difference. Support our work: donate £1 - £10 by texting DRAW00 £ (the amount you want to give) to 70070. Better still, become a member!
